MesquiteWeather.com
is a volunteer website created to serve the
people of Mesquite, Nevada and surrounding areas with live weather data and
information.
Mesquiteweather.com
strives to give it's users a good quality weather web site. In
absence of any official weather-reporting agency in Mesquite and
surrounding area, my goal is to give as accurate as possible live
weather data. Current weather data comes from my Davis Vantage Pro
2 weather station located close to the US Post Office on Mesquite
Blvd. Mesquiteweather.com also relies on other sources of data to
help further enhance the weather information product from other
private weather web sites such as
Southwestern
Weather Network and
Weatherforyou.com
where much of there information comes from private weather stations
like Mesquiteweather.com.
This website is continuously updating weather and climate information. It is
automatically updated with the latest weather readings every 5 minutes -
24/7/365, camera view is update each minute as well as rapid fire data
uploaded to Wunderground.com. That
data can be seen at
wunderground history
MesquiteWeather.com. Records
measurements at this geographical location:
LATITUDE
36°47'58.99" N LONGITUDE
114°4'44" E
MesquiteWeather.com operates a
Davis Vantage Pro 2
weather station to measure and log weather data. During power, Internet and
web host outages the data logger will continue to store weather data and the
web site will be updated when outage is restored.
Weather data collected by the Vantage Pro 2 is processed and delivered to
Mesquiteweather.com by using
Ambient weather station software. Ambient weather software then generates the
station data and automatically updates the website every 5 minutes.
In order to deliver accurate real-time weather information to our visitors,
MesquiteWeather.com has invested
in the latest technology for our weather measuring instruments. All measuring
sensors are NIST certified
and manufactured by Davis
Instruments of San Francisco, CA, USA.

SOFTWARE
Ambient Virtual Weather
Station (Current version in use V14.00)
Ambient’s “Virtual
Weather Station” software is the most popular and complete solution available
for connecting your weather station to your Personal Computer and the
Internet.
The software is configured to upload readings every 5 minutes. Data is
available via the web at Mesquitelweather.com, and the NOAA Citizen's Weather
Program via APRS, and via Amateur Radio APRS System via data packets
transmitted on 144.390 Mhz (FM).
Mesquite Weather forwards its real-time weather
data to a number of other Internet weather sources for redistribution
including
Weather Underground,
Weather For You,
the Citizen Weather Observer
Program (CWOP) ID
CW0686,
CoCoRaHS Precipitation Program and the
National Weather Service.
Radar and satellite images provided by the
Wunderground and
Accuweather.
I operate 2 computers 24 hours a day 7 days a week to gather and
upload data via Baja's cable modem every five minutes as well as
upload weather camera images each minute.
